So Many Ideas, So Little Time!

It's crazy, you know, once you get an idea in your head it seems like they just keep flowing. I've now got like 400 different ideas for cupcakes in my mind! I'm slowing making my way down the list, but I think my family is really getting sick of cupcakes! I have made some changes to some of my recipes, and I have to say I think they are much better. I ask all of my friends if you have an idea for a cupcake or decoration please let me know! I love new ideas and new flavors. In fact, here are a couple of my latest ideas!

The Lineup

So quite a few of you have asked, "Just what flavors do you do?" Well, to be honest, so far, anything anyone has asked me to do, or suggested I do, I have done. And I've only come across a couple of recipes that didn't turn out the way I had hoped. Needless to say, those have been removed from my menu! So I decided I better put a few of the line up on here.

White Chocolate Strawberry
Our Strawberry cupcake topped with white chocolate buttercream and a fresh strawberry.

Red Velvet
Our made from scratch Red Velvet cupcake topped with cream cheese frosting.

Orange Dreamsicle
Our Orange cupcake topped with orange infused buttercream.

Peanut Butter Swirl
Our Peanut Butter cupcake topped with a swirl of peanut butter and chocolate infused buttercream frosting, then topped with a peanutbutter cup.

Candy Bar Cupcake
Our Vanilla Cream Soda cupcake topped with Browned Butter frosting and finished with toffee pieces and a Heath Bar.

Our French Toast cupcake topped with maple buttercream and a slice of bacon.

Mint Mojito
Our Mint cupcake topped with lime infused buttercream.

French Vanilla
Our French Vanilla cupcake topped with vanilla buttercream.

As I said before, these are just a few of the cups that I do. Everyday it seems as if I'm thinking of a new flavor or something different I want to try. Some days I wish I had just a few more hours to try another recipe, then I look in my laundry room and see the mountain of clothes that seems to be developing and realize that I really need to step away from the kitchen!!

A Whole New Beginning

Well, here it is, Cups By Kim! Specializing in all things cupcakes. Why, you ask? Oh I just thought that I didn't have enough to do with a full time job, a husband, a 5 year old and a 10 month old! Baking is a passion of mine, and I just felt that God kept putting this into my mind and I needed to listen to His direction. Isn't it everyone's dream to do something they love as their job, well, now I'm doing it, or at least trying. This is just the beginning, I know things are going to change as we go, so I'm keeping an open mind about it. Yesterday was my first "event", and to my surprise, I sold everything! I was so excited! Now let's just hope the orders start pouring in. I'm sure at this point my husband is tired of hearing, seeing, and tasting cupcakes, but I'm hoping that eventually he'll see just how sucessful this can be. For all of you who haven't tried the cups, all I have to say is, you should! I have quite a few flavor options to offer, I do birthday parties, retirements, weddings, or even just the simple "Thank You" cupcakes. For those of you who have had one of my creations, I say, if you liked them tell your friends, if you didn't, tell me and I'll make it right. I'm relying on friends, family, word of mouth, and social networking to get this business up and running and I am looking forward to bringing a fresh, new cupcake business to this area. I have booked a space at the Sidney Farmer's Market beginning June 4, 2011 and running every Saturday morning from 8-12:00 in Downtown Sidney until October 1. I'm hoping that this will help get the word out about Cups By Kim!! If you have any suggestions or thoughts about Cups By Kim please let me know! I'd love to hear from all of you!!
